Air service to Arkalyk has resumed after a 30-year hiatus. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The Ministry of Transport has launched the first flight on the Astana–Arkalyk route. Flights are operated by SCAT airline. Starting from August 22, 2026, flights on the Astana – Arkalyk – Astana route will operate twice a week at a fare of 10,000 tenge per one-way, while flights on the Almaty – Arkalyk – Almaty route will operate twice a week at a fare of 25,000 tenge per one-way.
Additionally, a subsidized intra-regional air route Kostanay – Arkalyk – Kostanay will be launched. Flights will operate twice a week, with a one-way ticket price of 10,000 tenge, the ministry said.
