Armenia will soon begin the process of applying for EU membership. This was announced by the country's Prime Minister Pashinyan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Pashinyan said that the process will begin soon, especially heeding the call of partners in the EAEU. Sputnik Armenia quoted his words.

After the official application to the EU is submitted, a corresponding response is received, and a "roadmap" is prepared, a referendum will be held on choosing between the EAEU and the EU.

Earlier, EAEU leaders stated that they believe Armenia should hold a referendum on choosing between the EAEU and the EU.
