Manning, a member of the Manning football dynasty (grandfather Archie, uncles Peyton and Eli), fielded questions at SEC Media Days. He said he is not worried about the future, focusing on the upcoming season. "I'm not worried about anything in the future right now. I'm worried about getting through this interview," he said.
In 2025, Manning finished the season 10-3 but faced criticism. He was sacked 23 times and under pressure. However, coach Steve Sarkisian praised his resilience: "What he got put through probably would have melted or destroyed 99% of people in his shoes. All he did was stay consistent."
Manning aims to improve in 2026. He is set to graduate in December, but talk of family and future won't distract him. "I'm trying to control the controllables," he said.
