A court in the Aktobe region has sentenced a man who killed his acquaintance and dumped the body in a garbage container. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the court, the convict and the victim were drinking alcohol together. A quarrel broke out, and the convict stabbed the victim multiple times in the chest. The victim died at the scene.
To conceal the crime, the convict placed the victim's body in a travel bag and dumped it in a garbage container. However, he later voluntarily surrendered to the police and partially admitted his guilt.
The court found the convict guilty under Part 1 of Article 99 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and sentenced him to 14 years in prison. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
