A tragic fire broke out late on June 19 in Aktobe at an auto gas filling station (AGFS), engulfing a car and killing three people, two of whom were minors. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Video from the scene quickly spread on social media. Witnesses reported that after the fire started, a man was near the burning car calling for help. It was also reported that people might have been inside the vehicle.

According to the Department of Emergency Situations (DES) of Aktobe region, a call to 112 was received at 22:55. Firefighters responded with an elevated response rank. The fire was extinguished in eight minutes, by 23:03.

"During extinguishing, the bodies of three deceased were found in the car's cabin, two of whom were minors. One injured person was hospitalized," the DES reported.

The department noted that firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to the gas station facilities.

About 50 DES employees and more than ten units of equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences, including rescuers from the operational rescue squad and specialists from the Disaster Medicine Center.

The causes of the fire are being determined. An investigation has been launched into the tragedy.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that special prosecutors had completed the investigation into the gas cylinder explosion and fire at the "Center Plov Loft" cafe in Shchuchinsk, which killed 12 people.
