A large fire at the Zhiger construction market in Aktobe has been fully extinguished. No human casualties were reported, but firefighters rescued a puppy from the blaze. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
During the firefighting, firefighter Dimash Zhetpisbay managed to carry out a puppy that remained in the burning warehouse. Noticing the frightened animal in the smoke-filled room, the firefighter carried it to safety in his arms.
"Every life is important to us," the Ministry of Emergency Situations emphasized.
According to the ministry, the fire has been completely extinguished, but its causes are yet to be determined.
Recall that the warehouses of the Zhiger construction market were burning with open flames. Due to the building's features — a metal frame, profiled sheet cladding, and a wooden roof lathing — extinguishing was complicated.
Units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescuers from the operational rescue team, specialists from the Disaster Medicine Center, military personnel, police officers, and ambulance crews worked at the scene. Firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring facilities.
