More than 12,000 speed violations have been recorded on the Aktobe–Kandyagash highway in Aktobe region, according to the regional police department. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Since July 10, a system for recording the average speed of vehicles has been introduced on the Aktobe–Kandyagash highway. According to police, 12,000 vehicles exceeding the average speed have been identified since the system was launched. "All will be held accountable within the framework of the law," police said.
The average speed control system calculates the time a vehicle takes to travel a certain section of the road and determines its average speed over the entire section. Therefore, it is impossible to avoid responsibility by reducing speed only in front of the camera and then increasing it again, Aktobe police noted.
