A fire broke out in a karaoke club building on Sankibai Batyr Avenue in Aktobe. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The flames engulfed the second floor and roof of the two-story building, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan reported. Before the arrival of firefighting units, the club's staff independently left the building. At the time of the incident, there were seven employees in the building, with no visitors present.
"Thanks to the prompt actions of rescuers, the fire was extinguished over an area of 200 square meters," the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
According to the ministry, there were no casualties. The causes of the fire are being determined.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminded the public to comply with fire safety requirements and to promptly report incidents by calling 112.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that in Astana, rescuers pulled a man from the Yesil River who was being carried away by the current. The incident occurred near the Central Park.
