A pre-trial investigation has been launched in Aktobe following a complaint from an 18-year-old conscript of military unit No. 6655 of the National Guard. The young man claims he was repeatedly beaten by three sergeants. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The soldier and his mother
The serviceman, Yerkebulan Dossymbet, is from Aktau. According to his mother, Guldana Ketibayeva, he has been serving in Aktobe since July 3, 2026.
The woman said that on September 4, she received a call from the hospital informing her that her son had been hospitalized. At that time, he had already been in the medical facility for three days.
Medical examination and injury detection
Initially, the serviceman was examined by a urologist, but tests did not reveal an infection. Then a traumatologist was brought in, who suggested that bladder problems could be related to an injury.
After talking to the doctor, the soldier told his mother that he was allegedly beaten periodically in the unit. The traumatologist called the police, after which the serviceman filed a statement.
Statement during video call
Later, during a video call, Yerkebulan Dossymbet told his mother that he was beaten by a senior sergeant and two other sergeants. The young man's relatives demanded an investigation and clarification of the circumstances.
Official response from the National Guard
The press service of the regional command "Batys" of the National Guard confirmed that the investigation is being conducted by the Aktobe department of the Western Regional Military Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan.
"Currently, all circumstances of the case are being established. Based on the results of a comprehensive and objective check, an appropriate legal assessment will be given," the command reported.
Other details of the investigation have not yet been disclosed. There are no official conclusions about the guilt of the servicemen at the time of publication.
