After the tragedy in Aktobe, where a family with two children died in a burning car, the owner of the auto gas filling station has been detained. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the police department of Aktobe region, a criminal case has been initiated regarding the fire.

"This fact has been registered in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan ('Violation of safety rules at explosive facilities'). The owner of the AGZS has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility," the police statement said.

The department clarified that the investigation is establishing all circumstances and causes of the tragedy. The investigation is under special control of the leadership of the police department.

Recall that on June 19, firefighters responded to a call about a car fire at 22:55, working on an elevated call rank. The fire was extinguished in 8 minutes. Of the four passengers, only one was saved. Three bodies were recovered from the burned car: a woman and two children, another passenger was hospitalized.
