An investigation has been launched in the Aktobe region regarding a fraud case involving a tourist company. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Company representatives promised to arrange overseas vacations for more than 200 citizens and collected money from each client. However, the prepaid services for processing vouchers, booking hotels, and purchasing airline tickets were not provided. As a result, hundreds of people were unable to enjoy their summer holidays as planned.

A pre-trial investigation has been initiated on this fact. Currently, all circumstances of the incident and the amount of material damage caused are being determined.

The police warn that fraudsters posing as tourist companies become active during the summer season. They offer tours at prices significantly below market rates and demand urgent payment. After receiving the money, they stop communicating.

In this regard, before paying for tourist services, it is necessary to carefully check the company's documents, client reviews, and be sure to conclude an official contract, after which transfer funds only through verified details.
