Dry grass and auto parts caught fire along the Bogoslovskaya highway in Aktobe. There were 27 cars parked near the fire site. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, firefighters prevented the fire from reaching the vehicles.
"The fire occurred in the Astana district. The fire was completely extinguished, and all cars were saved. There are no casualties," the ministry specified.
Earlier, "Kursiv" reported that in the Zhetisu region, firefighters had to extinguish burning reeds from the air. The swampy terrain prevented equipment from reaching the hotspots, so a helicopter was used to fight the fire.
