A suspect in blackmailing an acquaintance has been detained in Aktobe. A resident of Aktobe filed a complaint with the police. "She reported that a male acquaintance, with whom she had previously been in a relationship, was threatening to distribute intimate video recordings made without her consent and was exerting psychological pressure on her," the statement said. As a result of operational search activities, the suspect's identity was established and he was detained. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The suspect turned out to be a 38-year-old resident of a neighboring region. A pre-trial investigation has been initiated on the grounds of invasion of privacy.
The suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility. Currently, necessary investigative actions are being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the incident, as well as to check the suspect's involvement in other illegal activities.
