Specialists of Kazhydromet forecast unfavorable meteorological conditions (NMC) in Aktobe on Wednesday, August 5. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
What are NMC?
Unfavorable meteorological conditions are a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, weak wind, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the surface layer of atmospheric air.
Impact on air quality
When NMC occur, the quality of atmospheric air in populated areas may deteriorate, which affects human health. Residents are advised to take weather factors into account when planning movements.
Factors determining pollution levels
One of the most important factors determining the formation of pollution levels is the forecast of the synoptic situation (wind, precipitation, humidity, air temperature).
