A resident of Aktobe nearly lost her home due to fraudsters. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
On July 21, unknown persons called a 56-year-old resident of Aktobe. They first introduced themselves as representatives of a delivery service, then as bank employees. The fraudsters told the woman that a loan was being processed in her name and demanded that she not tell anyone about it and follow their instructions.
After learning that she had a two-room apartment, they persuaded her to sell it below market value under the pretext of "saving your property." The victim contacted a real estate agency and attempted to sell the apartment.
However, the agency manager noticed suspicious signs in the transaction and immediately reported it to the police. Police officers who arrived at the scene explained to the woman that she had fallen under the influence of fraudsters and prevented the sale of the apartment.
