In Aqtöbe, wrestler Qazybek Qalmaǵambetov, who returned victorious from the U20 World Championship held in Slovakia, was presented with a car. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The wrestler, who won a gold medal in the 67 kg weight category, was met at the airport by his parents, relatives, and hundreds of fellow countrymen. The champion, who returned with a historic victory, was presented with the keys to a car.
It is worth noting that Qazybek Qalmaǵambetov is the first athlete in the history of Aqtöbe region to become a world champion in Greco-Roman wrestling in the U20 category.
