In Aktobe, a woman sold another person's apartment for 6.28 million tenge, according to the publication «Диапазон». This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The events unfolded as follows. A man from Aktobe met a woman named Madina at an event and told her he wanted to buy an apartment. The woman immediately said she had a two-room apartment in the Yeset Batyr residential area and valued it at 6 million 280 thousand tenge.
A week later, he paid the full amount and moved his parents into the apartment. However, instead of a sale and purchase agreement, the seller gave him an acceptance certificate for the real estate.
In January 2026, an unknown woman came to the apartment and introduced herself as the owner of the property. Later, she had the new residents evicted through court. It turned out that the apartment indeed belonged to this woman. She had left her keys with an acquaintance while serving her sentence in a colony in Atyrau region. After receiving permission to defer her sentence, she intended to return home and found strangers living in her apartment.
In court, Madina pleaded guilty. She said she had spent the millions of tenge received from the buyer and could not return the money. It was also established that the woman had previously been convicted of fraud. At that time, because she had children, her sentence was deferred. This time, the court sentenced her to actual imprisonment. However, the execution of the sentence was again deferred. After the verdict was announced, the woman left the courthouse free.
