The federal state treasury institution Rosgranstroy has announced that repair work at the Sagarchin vehicle checkpoint has been extended until October 30, 2026. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The checkpoint is located on the border between the Aktobe and Orenburg regions, and asphalt pavement repair work is currently being carried out there.
How the repair timeline changed
In August, it was announced that asphalt pavement and sidewalk repair work would be carried out from September 1 to September 29, 2026. However, the deadline was later extended until October 30, 2026.
Traffic is moving in reverse mode
"During the repair work, traffic at the crossing will be reverse. This should be taken into account when planning to cross the Russian-Kazakh border," Rosgranstroy said at the time.
