99 households in the village of Poltavka, Aktobe region, have been connected to natural gas, housing 316 people, the regional akimat reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
At the launch ceremony, Deputy Akim of Aktobe region Asylbek Yessenbayev stated that gasification of settlements remains a priority of state policy and is aimed at improving the quality of life for rural residents.
The project cost 581.4 million tenge. The work was carried out by GazMart. The project included the construction of 6.4 km of gas pipeline and all necessary engineering infrastructure.
According to the akimat, the region's gasification level has reached 97.5%. In 2025, natural gas was supplied to 31 settlements, home to over 13,000 people.
In 2026, authorities plan to gasify another 8 villages with a population of about 3,700 people. To date, 5 settlements with 2,126 residents have gained access to natural gas.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Kazakhstan would revise gas prices to stimulate production.
