Repair of the Kutikol—Zharma—Kuyylys—Zhaisanbay highway, 23 kilometers long in Aktobe region, has been ongoing since 2021. The road has not yet been put into operation. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kazinform.

The issue was raised at a meeting of residents of the village of Kutikol. Local residents complained that the repair of the road connecting the village with the district center has dragged on for several years.

According to them, about half of the planned work has already been completed, but this year construction has actually not continued.

"As representatives of the contractor company say, the customer, represented by the akimat of Irgiz district, did not transfer the necessary funds. The district akimat says there is no money to transfer," residents said.

They note that not only the transport accessibility of Kutikol depends on the condition of the road, but also the connection with the district center for residents of the villages of Zharma, Kuyylys and Zhaisanbay. Local residents use this road to get to medical and educational institutions, among other places.

The Department of Passenger Transport and Highways of Aktobe region reported that the repair project was approved in 2021.

In 2022, 267 million tenge were allocated for medium repairs of the road. The contractor was LLP "Abai-B", but the company did not fulfill its contractual obligations. Subsequently, the allocated funds were returned through court.

Since 2023, work was temporarily suspended. In 2024, the project was adjusted, after which 900 million tenge were provided for two sections of the road. In 2025, these funds were fully utilized.

The akimat reported that in 2026 it is planned to accept certificates of completed work and transfer another 100 million tenge.

"In 2025, work was carried out to prepare and level the roadbed, and the necessary building materials were prepared. This year, it is planned to complete work on the installation of shoulders and laying asphalt concrete pavement," the akimat of Aktobe region reported.

To continue the repair, a contract was concluded with LLP "Tulkibas zholdary". The authorities claim that funding is provided in full, and money will be transferred as work is completed and confirmed.

The necessary building materials have already been prepared at the asphalt concrete plant in the village of Karabutak, Aiteke bi district.

The authorities promise to complete the repair of all 23 kilometers of the road by the end of 2026.
