In the Oyyl district of Aktobe region, a bridge damaged by the 2024 flood has been reconstructed and put into operation. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The bridge construction was carried out in two stages, including extensive and long-term underground works.

Deputy Akim's comment

"There is an instruction from the Head of State to turn Kazakhstan into a large construction site. In fulfilling this instruction, important and large projects are being implemented in our region. Among these projects, the Oyyl bridge will make a significant contribution to the formation of the transit corridor 'Western Kazakhstan – Southern Kazakhstan'," said Deputy Akim of the region Asylbek Yessenbayev.

Flood consequences and construction start

Recall that during the 2024 flood, the bridge over the Oyyl River on the access road to the village of Oyyl was washed away by water, and the facility was damaged. In this regard, in July 2024, a contract was signed with Tengizstroyservis Group LLP for the reconstruction of the bridge, and construction work began. According to the project, the duration of construction work was 15 months.

New bridge specifications

The length of the reconstructed bridge is 280 meters. During construction, 70 piles were driven, more than 30 of which were installed to a depth of 26-38 meters. All 8 bridge supports were erected, and 56 beams were placed on 8 spans.

In addition, monolithic slabs were poured on the roadway, and asphalt pavement was laid. Barrier fences were installed, and construction and installation works were fully completed.
