Those responsible for the mass poisoning of people at a restaurant in the city of Kandyagash in the Mugalzhar district of the Aktobe region have been granted amnesty. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
It was previously reported that in June, after visiting a restaurant in Kandyagash, 102 people were hospitalized with signs of intestinal infection at the Mugalzhar district hospital and the regional clinical infectious diseases hospital.
After that, police opened a criminal case under Article 304 of the Criminal Code on the fact of violation of sanitary rules and hygienic standards. Later it became known that the number of people hospitalized after visiting the restaurant had increased.
In this regard, the operation of the catering establishment was suspended. Subsequently, the inspection by sanitary doctors into the mass poisoning at the restaurant in Kandyagash was completed.
During the investigation, staphylococcus, E. coli and a number of violations were identified.
The results of the inspection were sent to law enforcement agencies. Today it became known that the owner and the head of the restaurant where the mass poisoning occurred have been granted amnesty.
"During the criminal proceedings, the restaurant management and the individual entrepreneur fully admitted to committing the acts imputed to them. At the same time, due to the application of the amnesty act, the criminal proceedings were terminated," the press service of the Aktobe region police department told our correspondent.
