In the Aktobe region, a forest fire has been fought for the second day. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the Ministry of Ecology of Kazakhstan, the fire was registered on August 27. The source was detected in time thanks to aerial patrols, early detection systems, and constant monitoring by the state forest guard.
Forest guard employees, airborne fire service paratroopers, helicopters, and special equipment of Kazavialesookhrana were involved in extinguishing the fire. Additional forces were also sent to the site.
"Thanks to prompt actions, the fire did not spread to populated areas and other forest areas. Currently, specialists continue work on full localization and elimination of the fire," the ministry reported.
The Ministry of Ecology emphasized that the situation is under control. However, the area covered by the fire has not been specified.
