In the Aktobe region, 5 billion tenge has been allocated from the special state fund for the construction of a group water pipeline from the Sarybulak underground water field. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The project is aimed at providing stable drinking water supply to the Batys-1, Batys-2, and Batys-3 microdistricts of Aktobe city, where housing construction is actively underway and the load on utility networks is increasing.
The Sarybulak field is located 56 kilometers from the regional center. As part of the project, 20 artesian wells will be drilled and equipped with the necessary infrastructure. A group water pipeline will also be built, and networks will be extended to residential areas. Construction work will begin this year.
After the facility is commissioned, residents of Aktobe city, as well as settlements in Alga and Mugalzhar districts, will be provided with up to 70 thousand cubic meters of additional drinking water per day. Of this, 25 thousand cubic meters per day will be directed to meet the growing demand of the rapidly developing areas of the regional center.
The explored reserves of the Sarybulak field are sufficient to provide the region with stable drinking water for the next 30 years, the government says.
