The body of a 19-year-old man was found in the Aktobe region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the regional police department, the cause of death was atmospheric electric current. The young man died after being struck by lightning.
Police said investigative measures are underway to determine all circumstances of the incident.
It is worth noting that a similar incident occurred in the region four years ago. In the village of Belogorka near Aktobe, lightning struck a 27-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy. The teenager died at the scene, while the man was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
