Aktobe Regional Multidisciplinary Hospital is expanding its range of specialized care. Following rheumatology, gastroenterology and nephrology departments have been launched here. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the head of the clinic, Kairat Zhetibayev, the phased renovation has already helped increase the volume of inpatient treatment by 5.5%. It is noted that the introduction of new profiles will significantly improve the availability of emergency and planned therapeutic care for residents of the region.
“These departments will help patients with gastrointestinal and kidney diseases receive modern diagnostics, treatment and professional supervision,” the akimat’s message says.
According to local executive authorities, as part of the modernization, wards were updated, comfortable conditions for patients were created, and necessary equipment was purchased.
Recall that earlier, in January of this year, a rheumatology department with 16 beds was opened here. In addition, the medical organization has a telemedicine center, and a PACS system has been introduced to centralize radiological studies.
“The emergence of new departments increases the availability of medical care and expands diagnostic and treatment capabilities,” Zhetibayev noted.
According to him, the renovation program plans further phased updating of the hospital’s medical infrastructure.
Earlier it was reported that as part of healthcare modernization in the republic, 191 projects worth 176.8 billion tenge were approved for returned assets.
Also, the Ministry of Health reported that under the modernization program, by the end of last year, 655 planned primary health care facilities were built in the country.
