On July 22, unfavorable meteorological conditions are expected in Aktobe and Atyrau. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv.
According to weather forecasters, NMC are forecast during the day in Aktobe and at night in Atyrau. As experts explained, unfavorable weather conditions occur when calm, light wind, fog and temperature inversion combine. Under such conditions, pollutants accumulate in the surface layer of the atmosphere, causing air quality to deteriorate.
Weather forecasters warn that during NMC periods, the risk of negative health effects from polluted air increases, especially for people with chronic diseases. The level of air pollution is also affected by wind speed, humidity, temperature and precipitation.
Residents are advised to reduce time spent outdoors as much as possible, especially near roads and other sources of pollution. Children, pregnant women, the elderly, as well as people with respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases and allergies are advised to limit long walks and carry necessary medications with them.
Experts recommend temporarily moving physical activities outdoors to indoor spaces.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that in the coming three days, Kazakhstan's megacities will experience unstable weather, sharp cooling, heavy rains and thunderstorms.
