Aktau port has set a new record for container transshipment. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the results for September 2026, 10,186 TEU were transshipped through Aktau port. This figure is 80% higher than the same period in 2025.

"The achieved result became a new record for the port and demonstrates steady growth in demand for container transportation across the Caspian Sea," the statement said.

The positive dynamics are driven by an increase in cargo flow along the TITR, the development of container infrastructure on the route, as well as expanded rail and port cargo handling capabilities.

The record was registered according to information distributed by Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.
