Water problem in Akshi village unresolved for 10 years

In the village of Akshi, Almaty region, the water problem has greatly troubled residents. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

A Sputnik Kazakhstan correspondent listened to the complaints of Akshi residents who have been without adequate water for at least five years.

Water schedule

In Akshi, water is supplied twice a day: in the morning and in the evening, for two hours each time. Those who manage to collect it get water, those who don't are left without it, residents say.

Resident's opinion

"There is no water in Akshi at all. They say water is given in the morning, but it is not given on time. Houses with pumps take the water that comes, and some houses do not get enough water. I moved here in 2019, and since then this problem has existed," says a resident of Akshi named Zhaksygul.

Water trucks

Trucks with water come to the village every day. However, only those who managed to order get water, while elderly residents sometimes remain without water.

"It breaks in winter and summer. Overall, this problem has been going on for about ten years," say the residents of Akshi.
