US President Donald Trump stated that the United States is not selling weapons to Ukraine. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

"Russian President Vladimir Putin understands that I am selling weapons not to Ukraine, but to NATO countries. They pay the full price, and I don't know how this weapon is distributed," Trump wrote on the social network TruthSocial.

The PURL initiative, created by the US and NATO, does not involve direct US military support to Ukraine. It is assumed that European countries will buy American weapons for Kyiv.

Russia believes that arms supplies to Ukraine hinder the settlement of the conflict and directly involve NATO countries in the conflict. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that any shipment of weapons to Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia.
