Negotiations between the US and Ukraine on the transfer of technologies for the Patriot air defense system are ongoing, Congressman Mike Turner said. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that Vladimir Zelensky had requested Tomahawk cruise missiles and missiles for the Patriot system from Washington.

Trump also noted that the issue of transferring such high-precision and destructive weapons to other states requires a cautious and comprehensive approach.

According to Mike Turner, the issue of transferring defense systems like Patriot is very complex. "However, I believe that negotiations on providing Ukraine with broader access to the technologies of this system are ongoing. This would allow Ukraine to produce them on its own territory and develop defense technologies," Turner said in an interview with CBS News.
