The United States plans to determine in the near future whether there is an opportunity to give impetus to the process of settling the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

In an interview with Fox News, Rubio said: "In the coming weeks, we will make efforts to determine whether there is an opportunity to resume negotiations between the two sides and stop this conflict. We understand that both sides have important, immutable demands."

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on June 28 that after the tense period in the situation around Iran ends, there will be an opportunity to continue negotiations with the United States on the Ukrainian issue. According to him, Russia intends to continue dialogue on all previously discussed issues.

Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said Moscow is ready for a peaceful settlement of the situation in Ukraine, but if necessary, it has the ability to continue military operations.
