FDA finds parasite in Taylor Farms lettuce linked to US outbreak

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has detected the parasite causing a recent outbreak in a sample of iceberg lettuce supplied by Taylor Farms. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Reuters.

The FDA said the sample tested positive for Cyclospora, a parasite that can cause intestinal infection with symptoms including diarrhea and vomiting. Taylor Farms has initiated a recall of its products.
