The US government has allocated more than $238 million to fund a technical support center in Poland that services weapons delivered to Ukraine. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to data from the US government spending portal, the funds were allocated to Amentum Services, which manages the technical and logistics support center in Jasionka, Poland.
Center specialists provide remote assistance to Ukrainian military personnel on maintenance issues of delivered weapons and coordinate the delivery of necessary spare parts.
The contract was concluded in December 2022 for $35.7 million. Since then, it has been amended 29 times, and the amount of allocated funds has increased to $238.2 million.
According to the latest quarterly report of the chief inspectors for the US operation "Atlantic Resolve", remote technical support from the Jasionka hub covers 34 weapon systems used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
