The US and Iran have reached several compromises in the final text of a memorandum of understanding. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Under the terms of the agreement, the US committed to unfreezing $24 billion of Iran's blocked assets; returning half of that money before the deal is concluded; lifting oil sanctions on Tehran and not imposing new ones; presenting a plan to restore Iran's economy worth at least $300 billion together with allies.

Iran, in turn, committed to fulfilling its obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty; not to develop nuclear weapons. At the same time, Iran's missile program was removed from the agenda of negotiations with the US.

The final agreement will be confirmed by a UN Security Council resolution. The signing of the agreement will take place on June 19 in Switzerland. According to authorities of both countries, the US will end its naval blockade and open the Strait of Hormuz.

Following this, Italy, France, Germany, and the UK declared their readiness to lift sanctions against Iran. "We welcome the announcement of the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran... We are ready to lift relevant sanctions in response to concrete, credible steps by Iran regarding its nuclear program," said a joint statement from the four European countries.
