The United States and Iran have come close to concluding a peace agreement and have already agreed on its final text. This was announced by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is one of the mediators in the negotiation process between the parties. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the head of the Pakistani government, work on the document is virtually complete, and its official signing could take place within the next 24 hours.
"We can confirm that there is a final, agreed text of the peace agreement," Sharif wrote on social media platform X.
He noted that Pakistan continues close cooperation with Washington and Tehran to coordinate further procedures and prepare for the signing of the document.
"Pakistan is currently working closely with both sides to determine the next steps. Peace has never been as close as it is now," the prime minister emphasized.
Earlier, Sharif stated that the parties are in the final stage of negotiations and expect to complete all formalities within 24 hours. According to him, preparations are also underway for signing the agreement in electronic format, and technical consultations are planned for next week to implement the reached agreements.
The Pakistani prime minister thanked the US and Iran for their willingness to compromise and expressed confidence that the future deal will be an important step toward long-term stability in the Middle East.
"We are convinced that this historic agreement will lay a solid foundation for establishing lasting peace," Sharif said.
