Special envoy of the US President Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner have begun negotiations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ukrainian publication "Strana.ua", the meeting is taking place in Kyiv. Earlier, Kyiv Independent reported that Witkoff and Kushner had arrived in Ukraine to discuss peace negotiations.
Later, the Ukrainian agency UNIAN reported that the American special envoys had met with Zelensky in Kyiv. "Zelensky announced that negotiations with Kushner and Witkoff have begun in Kyiv," the publication said in a message on its Telegram channel.
The day before, at the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Witkoff and Kushner. The meeting lasted about three hours. On the Russian side, presidential aide Yuri Ushakov and Russian President's special representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries Kirill Dmitriev also participated in the talks.
