US special envoy Steve Witkoff and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner will deliver proposals to settle the conflict in Ukraine during their visit to Moscow. This was stated by US President Donald Trump, as reported by RIA Novosti. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"They are bringing a proposal to stop the war," the US leader said. According to Trump, this proposal is not new. Washington also has a certain idea for establishing peace in Ukraine. However, the US president did not disclose its specific content.
Earlier, media reported that Witkoff and Kushner might visit Moscow on Saturday for negotiations. Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the information about the imminent arrival of American representatives, did not announce specific dates. According to him, the Kremlin will report on meetings when they take place.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin stated that the negotiation process on settling the situation in Ukraine is currently suspended. At the same time, he noted that Moscow is ready to negotiate with any party.
