The US Central Command (CentCom) has launched 'powerful' strikes on Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) small boats and targets in Iran. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing BBC News.
The strikes were in response to attacks on three oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. A fire was filmed burning in Bandar Abbas, Iran.
Iran's deputy foreign minister called the US attacks a violation of the US-Iran memorandum signed last month, warning Tehran would 'take decisive measures'.
Iranian state media said strikes hit Qeshm island, Bandar Abbas and Sirik.
