As part of the seizure operation, the domains of these websites were confiscated and their operations were shut down. According to DOJ officials, these actions are aimed at protecting intellectual property rights and combating the distribution of illegal content. The fight against pirate sites that attempt to restrict access to official World Cup broadcasts will continue.
