The Ministry of Emergency Situations continues to carry out preventive measures in the Almaty region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Under the coordination of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with local executive bodies, work continues to return the water flow from the quarry to the main riverbed of the Aksai River. Engineering equipment is involved at the site, and necessary engineering measures are being carried out.

In the Karasai district, residents of nine private houses were evacuated in advance to ensure safety. A total of 11 people, including one child, were evacuated. There are no casualties. The dangerous section is under control, and explanatory conversations were held with residents.

In the Enbekshikazakh district, bank strengthening work, clearing of the damaged road section, and restoration of transport links continue. Earlier, MES employees evacuated 42 people, including five children and eight foreign citizens. There are no casualties.

The ongoing measures involve MES units, military personnel of military unit 28237 of the MES of Kazakhstan, specialists from Kazselezashchita, and representatives of local executive bodies.

The department noted that the situation is under constant control of the MES of Kazakhstan.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that in the Turgen Gorge of the Enbekshikazakh district, work continues to eliminate the consequences of heavy rainfall. An operational headquarters was deployed on site, and specialists are clearing the damaged section of the highway and restoring transport links with the involvement of special equipment.
