In the Akmola region, 1.4 billion tenge has been allocated from the Special State Fund for the construction of water supply and sanitation systems. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The funds are intended for the implementation of four infrastructure projects in the Burabay district and the city of Shchuchinsk. In particular, the water supply networks of children's health centers near Lake Katarkol in the Burabay district will be modernized.
Modernization of engineering infrastructure will allow institutions to improve the quality of utility services and create conditions for their full operation during seasonal load periods.
Another part of the allocated funds will be spent on a comprehensive upgrade of water supply and sanitation systems in the city of Shchuchinsk. Specifically, it is planned to build and reconstruct the fourth stage of main water supply networks, repair water disposal facilities and networks, and lay sewerage inside neighborhoods.
The implementation of the projects will reduce the accident rate of networks. In addition, supplying the required volume of water and draining wastewater will allow connecting new residential buildings, social and tourist facilities to the system, and will also create conditions for attracting investment to the region.
