Four workers of Kazger LLP in the Birzhan sal district of Akmola region sustained occupational injuries after the trailer they were being transported to work in the field overturned. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
A video address by the mother of one of the victims, Bayan Baltasheva, was published by the Telegram channel HALYQSTAN.
"On the way home, the trailer detached from the truck while moving. The drawbar stuck into the ground, after which the trailer rolled over four times," the woman said.
According to her, three of the four injured young men have already been discharged from the hospital, but her son remains in extremely serious condition.
Temirbulat Kairov has been diagnosed with a severe spinal injury, which, according to doctors, could lead to disability. The young man's mother fears the case may be hushed up.
According to her, the workers repeatedly asked the employer to provide safe transport for trips to the fields, but their requests were ignored.
The police department of Akmola region reported that a pre-trial investigation is being conducted into the violation of labor safety rules.
"As part of the investigation, a set of all necessary investigative actions is being carried out aimed at a comprehensive and objective determination of the circumstances of the incident," the department noted.
Earlier, Kursiv reported on a fatal accident at the ERG Service enterprise in Rudny, where a charger operator died while working at a steel-smelting furnace.
