An investment project to build a modern lentil processing workshop is being implemented in the Akmola region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The project is aimed at developing the processing sector of the agro-industrial complex, increasing the production of high value-added products, and strengthening the region's export potential. The total investment volume is 1.3 billion tenge. Financing is carried out from the enterprise's own funds. The capacity of the new production facility allows processing 5 tons of products per hour, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.

The implementation of the project will significantly expand the possibilities for processing agricultural raw materials and ensure efficient use of manufactured products. It will also give an additional impetus to the development of agribusiness in the region. The production line is scheduled to be launched in September 2026. As part of the further development of the enterprise, the construction of a modern vegetable storage facility with a capacity of 14 thousand tons is also envisaged. The facility is planned to be put into operation next year.
