In the village of Talapker, Tselinograd district, Akmola region, riders on horses trampled a three-year-old boy. The parents are seeking justice and demanding punishment for the perpetrators. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Suleimen, who had just returned from kindergarten, ended up under the heavy hooves of a horse. The incident occurred on June 5. "That day, around three in the afternoon, residents saw three people on horses galloping back and forth along the village street. My child was trampled around 18:30," says the boy's mother, Saltanat Ibrayeva.
According to residents, the riders were racing each other. "They were racing. I don't know whose horses those are or who those people are. I ran out, tried to pick up my child lying on the ground, but couldn't. Hearing my voice, my sister-in-law ran out. When we lifted the child's head, blood gushed from his head, and he began to wheeze. Everything happened before my eyes," the mother says.
The distraught mother called an ambulance, but no one answered the phone. "Saltanat, run, start the car!" my sister-in-law shouted. My arms and legs were trembling, I couldn't drive. My sister-in-law quickly stopped a passing car, and we took the child to the hospital. They put in an IV and delivered him to the city hospital in 20 minutes," says Saltanat Ibrayeva.
The child underwent surgery immediately, which lasted 3 hours. "The child's liver was crushed, they stitched it up. Small blood vessels in the head burst, doctors don't know what happened to the spine," the mother of the injured child noted. According to Saltanat Ibrayeva, the pancreas and other organs were also damaged, and it is unknown if the bile duct is intact.
The owner of the horse that trampled the child did not stop, but returned only after being told that he had trampled a child, saying "I didn't notice." "They say a criminal case has been opened, but that person is at home. Let the person who trampled my child be punished," says Saltanat Ibrayeva.
The police have opened a criminal case. "In the village of Talapker, a horse trampled a child born in 2022. A criminal case has been opened on this fact. Currently, necessary investigative actions are being carried out," said the Akmola Regional Police Department.
