In the Akmola region, nine fires of dry vegetation were extinguished in a day. The total area affected by fire exceeded 230 hectares, the regional emergency department reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The fires occurred on August 1 near the village of Sochinskoye in the Atbasar district, in the Enbek and Beitogai rural districts, on the outskirts of Akkol in the Akkol district, near the village of Bozaigyr, on the outskirts of the villages of Kabanbai batyr and Tasty in the Tselinograd district.
In addition, dry grass burned near the village of Taipak in the Zhaksy district and near the village of Kenbidaiyk in the Korgalzhyn district.
All fires were extinguished. The extinguishing involved units of the Emergency Department of the Akmola region, Kazaviaspas JSC, local executive bodies, Zhasyl Aimak RSE, forestry institutions and other services.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that on July 31, fires of dry grass were extinguished in six districts and Stepnogorsk in the Akmola region. Then the fire covered more than 69 hectares, and there was no threat to populated areas. According to preliminary data, the cause of the fires could be careless handling of fire.
