A 38-year-old therapist from the Yesil district hospital has died in Akmola Region, and authorities are investigating the circumstances. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to KTK, shortly before her death the woman traveled to Kokshetau for questioning as a witness in a criminal case. The information came from public pages.

The doctor had recently returned from vacation. The television channel, citing social media posts, reported that her mobile phone was confiscated during the interrogation.

The woman was reported missing after she failed to show up for work. Her body was found at her home in Yesil.

The Department of Economic Investigations declined to comment. Police have launched a pre-trial investigation into driving to suicide.

"It was preliminarily established that a 38-year-old resident of the Yesil district committed suicide. The pre-trial investigation continues, and the causes and circumstances of the incident are being established," said Asem Abdrakhmanova, senior inspector for special assignments at the information policy department of the Akmola Region Police Department.

The connection between the interrogation and the doctor's death has not been established at this time.
