Police in the Akmola region have seized synthetic drugs from illegal circulation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Police officers stopped the activities of a major drug dealer and seized a batch of synthetic drugs. The value of the seized drugs on the black market is approximately 30 million tenge.

During the inspection, it was established that a 47-year-old resident of the Akmola region stored prohibited substances and was engaged in packaging them. As a result of operational search activities, anti-drug police detained the suspect in the regional center.

During a search of the car, two plastic bags containing a psychotropic substance were found and seized. In addition, during the investigation, it was established that the suspect had delivered a large batch of synthetic drugs to Kokshetau, which he planned to divide into small doses and hand over to couriers for further distribution.

A pre-trial investigation is underway. Necessary examinations have been ordered, and all circumstances of the crime and possible accomplices of the detainee are being established.
