Police in Akmola region seized synthetic drugs worth 30 million tenge. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Polisia.kz.
Police officers stopped the activities of a major drug distributor and seized a batch of synthetic narcotic drugs from illegal circulation. According to police, the value of the seized substances on the black market is about 30 million tenge.
During the inspection, it was established that a 47-year-old resident of Akmola region was involved in the storage and packaging of prohibited substances.
As a result of operational-search activities, officers of the anti-drug crime unit detained the suspect in the regional center. During a search of the car, police found and seized two plastic bags containing a psychotropic substance.
Further investigative actions established that the suspect had delivered a large batch of synthetic drugs to Kokshetau. According to the investigation, he planned to repackage them into small doses and hand them over to couriers for further distribution.
A pre-trial investigation is underway. Necessary examinations have been ordered. Police are establishing all circumstances of the criminal activity, as well as possible accomplices of the detainee.
