The Ministry of Emergency Situations issued a storm warning on August 2. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Several regions of the country will experience extreme heat, thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds with dust storms. Additionally, high and extreme fire danger persists in many oblasts, the ministry's press service reported.

Air Temperature

According to forecasters, in the Turkistan region, daytime temperatures will rise to 40-42 degrees Celsius, while in the Kyzylorda region it will be up to 40 degrees. In Zhetysu, Zhambyl, Almaty, Karaganda, Abai, East Kazakhstan, Ulytau, Pavlodar, Mangystau, and Atyrau regions, temperatures will also reach 35-40 degrees.

In the south of the Abai region, extreme heat will persist until August 4, with temperatures reaching 41 degrees.

Thunderstorms and Precipitation

In Astana, thunderstorms, brief rain, and hail are possible during the day. In Pavlodar, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, Akmola, and Aktobe regions, thunderstorms, rain, and in some places heavy rain, hail, and squalls are expected.

Wind gusts in some areas may reach 20-25 meters per second. Dust storms are expected in the west and north of the Turkistan region, as well as in the center of the Kyzylorda region.

In some districts of Akmola and North Kazakhstan regions, fog is possible at night and in the morning.

Fire Danger

Experts warned that high and extreme fire danger will persist over most of Kazakhstan. In this regard, residents are advised not to light fires in forest and steppe areas and to strictly follow safety requirements.
